Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) was an American actress. Her work has earned her recognition for her TV and film performance since the 1980s. Her accolades comprise two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is born in New York New York. Her home was Winston-Salem North Carolina. At the age of Bassett was five years old, she and her sister were moved from the city of St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who was been divorced from her father. Bassett when she was in high school was a fan of John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and a graduate degree (1983), from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American studies) in 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett, who plays Ramonda the lead female character in the film adventure I. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
